The Next Big Thing!

How prepared are you to move to the next phase of your life, whether it be starting or continuing at a University, or moving on to a singing career in the USA or perhaps Europe?

In doing so, you might obsess about your ability to be prepared, wondering if you will fit in and whether you have chosen the right path. Are you planning to be the doer in this new venture, or the follower? You may decide that where you want to go with your dream or plan involves taking a risk on your part. And most people are truly afraid of even using that word because it is so very often equated with failure, right?

The safer your goals, the less energy you generate to get the job done. So, the key here is you must have a plan! And good planning often requires taking risks. So, don’t fall into the trap of being fearful of taking risks or that you don’t have what it takes. Because if you do, you are likely to become someone who only fights to protect your status quo. Taking that risk becomes the only way to accomplish something great; something only you can contribute to the world. Have the courage to think from your strengths, not your weaknesses.

Most times, what ruffles other’s feathers is not about you. If you want to see progress and results you must be an adventurous mistake maker. You can’t spend your time concerned about being wrong or messing up. The most successful people in any industry, occasionally make huge mistakes because they are always working on risking new ideas and plans that might or might not work. But a mistake is only a mistake if you fail to look for the pony in that huge pile of poop – to look for that one gem of excellence in that idea that you can nurture and bring along on your journey to success.

Remember, this is a process that will happen over and over again. It’s up to you to decide if you want to live out your purpose and know that change is going to happen no matter what. So, how do you want to end up dealing with it? Your life isn’t infinite, so use your limited time in the here and now to make something happen that matters to you, and those who come after you. Pave the way, shine the light and show others that might be timid, afraid or complacent, that all it takes is having the courage to design your plans to include risks. If or when mistakes happen, learn from them and don’t be afraid of what others think of you as you move on with your dream. Ciao for now. Carol
